Request forms outnumber real booking
28 clinics show an appointment button or link with no booking system we could recognise behind it. That usually means a request the clinic confirms later. 11 use a system that lets the owner pick a free slot.

We drew independent businesses with a website from OpenStreetMap in six cities per country (the US), skipped chains and social media profiles, and picked up to 60 at random per sector and country.
Our scanner read each homepage and its contact pages the way a visitor's browser receives them, and looked for booking systems, booking buttons, chat, forms and published email addresses. It checked that every published email domain can receive mail.
5 sites were left out of the figures because they did not load or no longer belonged to the business. We contacted nobody and name no business.
