Terms of service

1. What we provide

A check of your website’s operating systems, carried out from the outside using only your public web address, and delivered by email. It reports faults we could reproduce against your live site — for example a published contact address that cannot receive mail, or a booking control that is not connected to anything — and systems your site does not appear to have.

The check is free and carries no obligation.

We also sell agent tasks, such as code changes, research reports and web pages, paid for from prepaid credit. Each task is quoted before you confirm it and is checked automatically before you are charged. Each top-up says whether you buy for a business, naming the company, or for personal use.

2. What it is not

The check is a technical report, not legal, financial, tax or investment advice. Decisions you take on the basis of it are yours.

We test what is publicly visible. A fault we report is one we reproduced; the absence of a fault in our report is not a warranty that your site is free of them, and we do not test anything behind a login.

3. Price, VAT and payment

Prices are shown excluding VAT, with the VAT-inclusive total displayed before you pay. Payment is by card or iDEAL via Stripe; we never see your card details.

Credit is paid in advance and never expires. Business credit is non-refundable once loaded. Personal credit can be withdrawn within 14 days of a top-up for the unused part, as set out on the refunds page. A task that passes its checks is charged at its quoted price; a task that fails is charged only the attempt fee shown on its quote.

EU business customers who supply a valid VAT number are invoiced with VAT reverse-charged. If a VAT number later proves invalid, we may re-issue the invoice with VAT applied.

4. Delivery

The free check is emailed to the address you give us, usually within minutes. If we cannot complete it — for example your website is unreachable — we tell you and nothing is owed either way. A task delivers its result on its job page in your account once it has passed its checks.

6. Your material and our output

You keep everything you send us. The website check report is yours to use inside your business; you may not resell it as a standalone product. Work delivered by a task you paid for is yours to use, change and publish without restriction.

We may use aggregate, non-identifying learnings to improve the service. We do not publish your name, your report or your business details as a reference without your written permission.

7. Acceptable use

Request a website check only for a business you own or are authorised to act for, and run tasks only on repositories and material you are allowed to use. Don’t use the service to harass a competitor, gather personal data about individuals, or break any law.

8. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and consumers’ statutory rights are unaffected.

Otherwise our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect loss.

9. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end service for a breach of section 7. If we end the service without such a breach, we pay back any credit you have not spent.

10. Law and jurisdiction

Dutch law applies and the courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
