How many US gyms and yoga studios let you book a class online?

25 of the 56 US fitness studio websites we scanned (45%) give a visitor a way to book. 16 of those embed a real booking system; the other 9 have a booking button or link, but no booking system we could recognise behind it.

Sample: 56 US gym, yoga and pilates studio websites (of 400 listed with a website in Portland, Austin, Denver, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago). Scanned on 25 September 2026.

Where studios lose the evening visitor

Someone looking for a class after work usually wants a time slot, not a phone number. On 31 of the 56 sites we checked, the homepage and contact pages showed no route to a booking at all.

Mindbody is the most common booking system among US studios, on 7 of the 16 sites with one.

The systems we recognised: Mindbody (7), Momence (3), Walla (2), Mariana Tek (1), Microsoft Bookings (1), Pike13 (1), WellnessLiving (1).

A booking link on another domain still counts

Many studios send visitors to a scheduling page hosted by their software vendor. We count that as a booking path, because the visitor can still book. We only count a site as having no path when no link, button or embedded widget leads to one.

Where does your own website stand?

The free check reads your site the same way and tells you whether a visitor can find a way to book.

How we measured this

We drew independent businesses with a website from OpenStreetMap in six cities per country (the US), skipped chains and social media profiles, and picked up to 60 at random per sector and country.

Our scanner read each homepage and its contact pages the way a visitor's browser receives them, and looked for booking systems, booking buttons, chat, forms and published email addresses. It checked that every published email domain can receive mail.

4 sites were left out of the figures because they did not load or no longer belonged to the business. We contacted nobody and name no business.
